Social entrepreneurs funded by Star Utsav BE Fund-Idea ho to aisa


Now media is also taking interest in fostering entrepreneurship among youth of India.
Star Utsav with BE! Fund , a non profit organization, came with a unique show “Idea ho to aisa” … In this show, there are success stories of various social entrepreneurs all across the india.
Along with the success stories, they are also funding an innovative social entrepreneurship Idea, which is able to cure any problem in the society around you.

In 2012 we’re asking a bolder question:

Can beautiful stories create value for entrepreneurship and build employability skills? Can young people use what they learn to create economic opportunities for themselves and their communities? Can they be the heroes we need?

This program is associated with a very innovative initiatve
This show is aired on Star Utsav every sunday at 12.30 PM.

If you have any innovative idea for your community, you stand a chance to get funded. There are few terms and conditions for being a part of this initiative. They are as follows:

    • Be! an Entrepreneur is a project of Going to School, a registered non-profit trust in India. Be! Media (movies, radio and books) directs young people to the Be! Fund to apply for investment capital to start businesses that solve social problems.


  • Be! Fund is a project of the Be! Trust, a registered non-profit trust in India.



  • Only citizens of India, age 18 and above are eligible to apply to the Be! Fund.



  • To apply, applicants must either SMS “INFO” to 56677 or call our toll free number 18001036102 and leave their name, address and business idea. A representative from Be! Fund will contact selected applicants. Applicants will be selected for an initial interview only if their business:(1) solves a local problem,(2) creates jobs and(3) generates income for the entrepreneur.



  • The Be! Fund selection process includes three levels of interviews, a site visit, verification of applicant details, and presentation of a business plan to the investment committee. The investment committee will select candidates and Be! Fund will release funds. Not all business ideas submitted to the Fund will receive investment.



  • Be! Fund investments can only be used for business expenses, such as set up costs, raw materials, space rental, initial production and hiring staff. Investments cannot be used for any personal expenses.



  • Be! Movies are copyrighted by Going to School Fund. All characters, incidents and places in the films are fictitious. Resemblance to any person living or dead or any incident or place is purely coincidental.



  • STAR India is solely leasing content from Going to School. The views and opinions expressed in Be! Movies do not reflect those of STAR India.

Mohit Bansal(23) is B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, India. He has interest in business and entrepreneurship and has published couple of research articles. He is also associated with various NGOs. He is with Techaloo when it was just in concept stage. The Techaloo site was not existing even then. Currently Mohit is working with Mu Sigma as a Business Analyst Profile.
