Introduction to Startup Entrepreneurship : Free Webinar

General Assembly and Google Australia have teamed up to offer Introduction to Startup Entrepreneurship, a free 8-week online summer school that will cover topics like how to develop an idea, design and branding, working with developers and marketing for startups. The online course is available for anyone around the world to join in.

General Assembly Australia launched the course in a packed out event on Wednesday, where special guest, Federal Minister for Communications, Malcolm Turnbull, Head Engineer for Google, Australia and New Zealand, Alan Noble and GA Regional Director, Riley Batchelor discussed the merits of joining the booming tech startup industry.

Alan Noble flagged that people need to be encouraged “… to have a go. Other professions like accounting and law encourage entry and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practice – why not tech start-up entrepreneurs? There is no such thing as a silver bullet but Google and General Assembly can provide technical advice and knowhow.”

Riley Batchelor summed it up by saying, “Our goal is simple – bring more people into the tech start up scene around Australia”.

This course begins on January 6, 2014.
