IRCTC is the biggest e-commerce platform. IT’s characteristics define the path of industry. The transaction charges of various platforms are shown as below-

Payment by Credit Cards
AXIS PG For all Master / Visa Credit Cards (Not International Credit Cards).Transaction charges of 1.65%+Service Tax.

For all Domestic Debit Cards transactions Amount upto Rs. 2,000 :Transaction charges of 0.75%+Service Tax.
For all Domestic Debit Cards transactions Amount above Rs. 2,000 :Transaction charges of 1%+Service Tax.
ICICI PG For all MASTER / VISA Credit Cards (Not International Credit Cards) / Debit cards (If enabled by card Issuer). Transaction Charge 1.8%+Service Tax as applicable
HDFC PG For all MASTER / VISA Credit Cards (Not International Credit Cards) / Debit cards (If enabled by card Issuer). Transaction Charge 1.8%
CITI PG For all MASTER / VISA / DINERS CLUB CREDIT CARDS / VISA Debit cards (If enabled by card Issuer).Transaction Charges
1.8%+Service Tax as applicable
American express For all credit cards issued by American Express. Transaction Charges 1.8%

Along with this IRCTC had also made different categories for various payment options.
It has categorized the payment options in three categories:

Gold Category: Success Rate (>=80%)
Silver Category: Success Rate (70-80%)
Bronze Category: Success Rate (<70%)

This analysis shows that the highest success rate is through cash cards, none of the other options fall in gold category and the success rate of most of the Internet Banking options and Debit card options fall in Broze category which has the minimum success rate i.e. <70%. Success Rate through credit cards is also good as all the options fall in silver category.
