JFDI, Singapore – Joyful Frog Digital Incubator or in short Block 71@SG , which incubates Asia’s most promising startups. They intake startups for 90 days acceleration program with SGD 25,000 seed money and over 100,000 SGD in infrastructure facilities along with mentorship and pitch opportunities and networking with investors. This year JFDI demo day has attracted over 100 investors with some international name like Dave McClure, MIH Group, and local investors like Golden Gate Ventures(reality show based VC firm), Red Dot Ventures, Crystal Horse Investments, etc.

I loved the opening line of JFDI’s co-founder Hugh Mason – “Please don’t come into this space (Southeast Asia) for just one, two, or three years. Come here for ten, twenty years. That’s how investors should look at investing in this region. There was a saying that it takes a mom and dad to bring up a child, but it takes an ecosystem to bring up a startup. So everyone of you here are important in helping start-ups here grow.”

I agree to it 100% as start-up ecosystem of Asia is not as mature like silicon valley ecosystem.

This year there were 7 start-up pitches by:
