Robots- Alive


It’s very rare for us to hear about any startup coming up with an idea of making robots, but

recently two robotic enthusiasts  Abheek Bose a research intern in Robotics and AI at

fraunhofer IAIS and Manoj Sahi a former software engineer at Infosys started the company

ROBOTS-ALIVE in 2009  having their offices situated in Bangalore and  gujarat,now the startup

has a team of 7 highly qualified robotics enthusiasts the company is primarily incubated at

NDBI and some amount of design support from NID along with funding from DST and the

company really started  to takeoff  when it was selected by Morpheus venture partners(MVP)

a Y-combinator style mentor in their portfolio in this beautiful journey of 3 years the

company has achieved many milestones,

*they developed and released second version of special purpose robots for plastic industries

*set up of R&D center

*developed robotic toys for kids under 10 years

*developed robotic dresses and showcased at lakme fashion week, winter collection

*developed and released first version of special purpose robots for plastic industries

From the words of Mr.Manoj Sahi the co-founder of company “I see Robots Alive working on various robotic products and applications not just for industries but also for education,


Defense  (surveillance) and health domains. We have already started a project called ‘The  Robot Xperts’ ( in this direction.” says the young entrepreneur  still now the company has 3 products under this flagship brand till now there is only business to business selling and the company said soon there will be business to consumer sales also ,thecompany’s major goal is “We focus on identifying and eliminating the pain points of small and medium enterprises by using modern robotic technology at an affordable cost. With our proven technical ability and innovative approach” says the young entrepreneurs
