The secret of getting ahead is getting started

The secret of getting ahead is getting started. A very well said proverb (fact) by Agatha Chrsite. Entrepreneurs are believers in themselves, they find opportunities in every adverse circumstance, and they have an alternate vision. According to Sanjeev Bikchandani founder of, one should start early and should simply never run out of juice. Sanjeev is the live testimony of he fact that in order to get ahead, one should not ponder upon, rather start whatever he has in his mind. That’s the secret of getting of getting ahead.

It id being said the brain processes more than 1 lacs  a day, out of which 90% are related to past situations. Hence, in his view one should not bother about past and should start with whatever his brain is processing.

If we look at the fortune 500 companies one thing common among most of them ius that they started very early, and so they are ahead in their respective fields. Bill gates of Microsoft, Richard Branson of Virgin Airlines,Mark Zuckerberg all of them started at a point to get ahead.

According to Sanjeev, be early, you can make mistakes while it is cheap to make them.  Another glaring example is of Santanu Prakasha founder of Eudocomp. Santanu went into business while doing his B.Com. He was born and brought up in a typical middle class family. However, he knew entrepreneurship   was his calling; he founded a company while still in college and started another one right after graduation form IIM A. According to Santanu, early starters are small people who   manage the risk and reward equation very well.

The secret of getting ahead is getting started can also be established by the fact that ‘Time which flews, never comes back again; or, may be more one more relevant fact to support this statement  is ‘ opportunities lost never gets back’.

“The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and starting on the first one.”
