“THE TRUE ENTREPRENEUR IS A DOER, NOT A DREAMER”

Before we go on in the depth of this topic, let us know about the basic knowledge of ‘ENTREPRENEURSHIP’. What it is all about? Is this a process to be carried out or it is an initiative to lay the foundation of big project? To every question taking birth in our mind about it, there lays some easy information what entrepreneurship is.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP is process of identifying and starting a business venture, sourcing and organizing the required sources and taking both the risks and rewards associated with the venture. It is characterized by innovation and risk taking ability to succeed in ever changing and increasingly competitive global market place. In other words we can say that capacity and willingness to develop organize and manage a business venture along with any of its risks in order to make profit.

As per the above details of entrepreneurship now we can easily frame our primary subject. i. e. ‘TRUE ENTREPRENEUR’. How is he different from normal human being? What extra nutrition does he intake? Is he blessed with some extra supernatural powers?

The answer to all these questions is simply no!!The only thing which separates entrepreneur from others is following ideas in disciplined manner and turns his dreams into reality by theory of karma and simply said by renowned personality that “THE TRUE ENTREPRENEUR IS A DOER,NOT A DREAMER”. He is a dreamer whose dreams come true.

He is fully loaded packet of idealization, visualization, verbalization and materialization. In today’s youth language he is surreal combination of wolverine and batman, those who drive off an airplane without a parachute. The success theory about entrepreneur is as simple as doing something. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow, not next week but today. It centers around innovation, source of innovation, changes and their symptoms that indicate opportunities for successful innovation.  He starts a business from scratch which includes everything from idea conception to managing the company for long term.

He builds an environment to inspire creativity, innovation collaboration and knowing that great things are possible. Given below are characteristics traits of true entrepreneur:-

PASSION=It derives the creation of his dreams. He is motivated by the point that failure is a part of journey and that without failure there is no success. The trick of course, is to channel the passion into action.

CONVICTION= It is like shooting star that fizzles before he even fully realize it’s here. It streams passion into steady flow.

LUNACY= It is a euphoria in which he think he can tackle some unachievable goal that other have never attempted to tackle.

NEED FOR APPROVAL= It is lack of confidence, this I will show them attitude can foster an entrepreneur conviction.

Apart from such laundry list of attributes it’s their action what makes them unique is what they do. While normal people wait sit on the sideline and wait for things to come, they are busy finding out solutions for everyday problems and are making a great living doing it. Risk factor depends on part of how the game is played. There are bumps in the roads, opportunities to move in different directions but when you reach an obstacle, you can overcome it and be a winner or you can allow it to overcome you and be a loser. Business die, entrepreneurs don’t. Startups never sink or swim. They give u a swing of directions. It’s about the journey and not the destination. Oh!!!If I had only acted on that idea back then I would be rich or I had an idea in my head but never acted on it, such type of ideas are not in their senses .It is the CAN DO attitude, relentless efforts, obsessed drive which make them have a stay in winning category. They are not workaholics and never think about work life balance but are fun loving people. Money is not a matter of great concern or we can say that they don’t do for money. They don’t whine about how hard they work for peanuts. Personal branding is not their activity. They don’t try to be what they are not. They don’t just dip their toes in water headfirst without a thought about the rocks below. They prepare for the failure, protect their downside and then go right ahead with launch. Virtual mentors, grand visions, give in fear are not their activities.

Based on above discussion on characteristics of true entrepreneur I would like to give an example which will help us visualize the above points in crystal clear way. He is the one who has given a boost to our social life, enhanced our everyday experiences by inventing a tool called FACEBOOK. Yes, MARK ZUCKERBERG called insane, foolish, described as man who has lost his senses few years ago is now worshipped by millions of people around the globe. He emerged as a god who laid the foundation stone for social life for people. The simple story behind his success was that he was not trying to create a company instead he just wanted to rate the looks of fellow classmates. He didn’t do what everyone else was doing, he didn’t follow status quo, conventional wisdom or popular fads but carried on his own unique path and now he stands where he has defeated his dreams. Remember the risk factor depends on part of how the game is played. The greatest failure is not to try. Don’t just roll the dice depending on the luck factor. One should try to their guts, no matter how good they sound on paper. The significant thing is not being afraid to take a chance instead decide to do something at that point of time. For a true entrepreneur success is through growth not profit growth but overall structural growth of enterprise itself. At last I would like to conclude by saying entrepreneur is derived by emotional motivation from a fear of insecurity and desire to be within comfort zone of secure situation.
