Some times fantastic and highly successful companies may be conceived in very improbable situations. Viki is an example.

A group of graduate students from Harvard Business School and Stanford University had to complete a joint class project related to entertainment. Together they sought to “remove barriers to popular entertainment, regardless of language or country of origin.” And thus the concept of Viki was born.

Now Viki is a very popular international video site for world TV series and movies translated in 100+ languages by its community, receiving millions of unique visitors every month.
